This is the best Need for Speed game. I don't understand why no other racing game tries to emulate it in the modern era.

I’m quite partial to NFSHP2, but that may just be nostalgia

Those were 2 of my faves, NFSHP2 started a lifelong love of cars and the motorsport! But let's not gloss over the original NFSU - that one changed the game! All the customization options blew my mind as a 10 year old.

Same! Hot Pursuit and Hot Pursuit 2 have a special place in my heart. I never got the same enjoyment out of the underground / street racing NFS games.

I’m more of a NFSMW 2005 man myself

I really liked NFS Porsche too. It started really slow with old cars, but it was fun to play through different eras of (Porsche) cars.

The original is the best in my book. Understated, placed huge emphasis on the cars and the experience of long GT drive from A to B. Shame they basically abandoned that formula immediately.
