Just give Ukraine what it needs to defeat Russia in Ukraine to prevent a real world war.

That's pretty clearly not the purpose of the war. It will continue until every Ukrainian man - even the elderly, young, disabled and ill - has been brutally maimed and left to die slowly in a field. Every single one. They will continue to be snatched from the streets and dragged from cars and their homes until every single one is gone.

This will escalate to those that side with Ukraine and those that side with Russia, sadly we're too naive to learn from past mistakes.

Ukraine needs ammo and soldiers. West is unable to produce enough of first, and is unwilling to give the second, which is reasonable, considering demography.

Often it's just incompetence, not malice

Not much they could do considering it could be China or Russia.

They'll get the same punishment that the people who blew up Nord Stream 2 got.

The nord stream 2 cut off a major source of income for Russia. This is between two NATO members with no upside.

How does a country protect its cables? Does it require military intervention or are there other methods for protecting them from anchor drags, etc.?
