Arguably, it should be First General Purpose Language then. Might also help avoiding confusion if the implementation isn’t GPL.

I was also thinking of Architectural Programming Language, but APL..

Arches? Arch? (There was ArchJava, so there's a precedent).

Objective-C has objective because C itself is not objected oriented. Objective-Smalltalk would be redundant. How about StepTalk or SmallStep? to honor the NextStep heritage, you know.
