The best method I've found so far (I've worn glasses for over four decades):

If they are especially dirty, I'll rinse them with clean water and maybe a bit of soap first.

Yup, I do this with some nice microfibre for drying / removing any smears afterwards.

And they are easy to get, I see them at walmart in 50 and 100 count.

I use the exact same cleaners and have for years.
