It's a remaster in the same spirit as Starcraft Remastered. Higher resolution textures, higher polygon counts, better animation, higher resolution options. Same game.

the latest patches for W3 already support Full HD.

This is a remaster of Warcraft3. Which means, updated graphics, but proabably mostly a 1:1 copy of the original game.

It was announced at BlizzCon, which is happening these days.

My bad...it seems I read the minimum requirements. It seems it's going to be 4K which is awesome! W3 is the best (and last) game I've ever played.

Even the original WC III had no explicit limit on max resolution AFAIK.

This is Warcraft III, remastered. This is not Warcraft IV. Just like it says on the tin.

It's a remake of Warcraft 3. Kinda like the final fantasy 10 remake
