Duplicate submission.
It gets rid of the need for food, gas and most others. The price is definitely cheaper than otherwise.
> There is nothing keeping these people from doing this by themselves: stay home and do nothing (don't tend to household chores, or anything else, just to what you decided in advance to do, like reading or writing) if home is too busy, head down to the library and again, do what you planned to do, or a hotel and same.

Except, y'know, rent, property tax, the price of food...keeping the heat on, being able to afford gas, maintaining social relationships...it's almost like there's a lot of factors in this.

In any case, Apple doesn't allow outside contributors, which means they're fine.

Or you could just restore from a backup, possible at any time.

Working on Firefox 63.0.3 running on Linux perfectly.

Kinda disappointing that the "AI" bit of it is just image recognition.

I thought it was going to be a cool demo on changing 2D drawings to 3D objects.

If you have a backup of her phone from around that time you might be able to get the .ipa off of it, assuming it's on an older version of iOS.
Re:Show HN: Don't code your UI, draw it on Sunday November 18, 2018 @12:11PM (#18481360)
Stop. Just because you refuse to do basic troubleshooting doesn't mean this person shouldn't have showed it off.
My first reaction was "What a weird way to announce they're shutting dow...oh!"
Don't mention you're expecting downvotes on HN, etcetera.
Re:RAMCloud Project on Tuesday November 13, 2018 @11:07AM (#18441989)
You aren't getting this.

Let's break this apart a bit more slowly.

They did not blog about this.

Their users did.

Atlassian, the company hosting it, did not write the post.

Their customers, the people using Atlassian's servers, did write the post.

Re:Medium is a poor choice for blogging on Tuesday November 13, 2018 @10:56AM (#18441899)
Yes, everyone's aware. It's mentioned every time it's used. No one cares. Making a frictionless mobile site lowers the barrier to entry.
I used it for a while when first getting into IRC communities; it serves as a really nice gateway into it - extremely user-friendly, hackable, usable from my phone if I wanted. Generally just a really good client overall, despite the bloat.
Re:Zulip Server 1.9: HipChat import and much more on Wednesday November 07, 2018 @02:31PM (#18401586)
Because it's an announcement of a new version. Not that hard to figure out.
Re:Ask HN: Why don't big softwares use App Store on Mac OS X? on Wednesday November 07, 2018 @10:43AM (#18399830)
Updates are fucked then because Apple takes like three weeks to "OK" an update.
Yes. In fact, you can delete almost every preinstalled app on iOS devices.
Swartz did work with PACER before the JSTOR incident. His first incident with an FBI agent was because of the work he did with PACER.
Re:My Amazon Interview Horror Story on Saturday November 03, 2018 @11:02PM (#18373891)
The name of the poster and the name of the domain are the same. It is for all intents and purposes a Show HN post.
Re:My Amazon Interview Horror Story on Saturday November 03, 2018 @09:53PM (#18373604)
People really need to start putting this stuff behind Cloudflare before posting to HN.
Re:Warcraft III Reforged on Friday November 02, 2018 @08:59PM (#18368008)
This is Warcraft III, remastered. This is not Warcraft IV. Just like it says on the tin.

What reality are you living in that Twitter is slower than email?

To speculate: the AGPL is the most common license that keeps to the spirit of free software when it comes to licensing for anything that could possibly be used in a web-facing product. If they didn't use it, it's likely that someone would have made a company profiting off of their work by now.
Re:What is the revenue generation model for DuckDuckGo? on Sunday October 28, 2018 @12:20PM (#18321308)
You shill on HN for basically every Google-related thread, so it's not like they'd need to use Google to find out you had connections to them.

Re:Microsoft completes GitHub acquisition on Friday October 26, 2018 @11:27AM (#18310129)
It's more or less a meme from a popular series of books, implying that someone's naive.
