I'm always shocked by how creative the Japanese illustrators are. It's mind blowing

> We’re acutely aware of our responsibilities to the people who use our service and to society more generally. We’re embarrassed, we’re disappointed, and more than anything, we’re sorry. We know that we must work to regain your trust, and we will support all efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice. We hope that our openness and transparency throughout this process, and the steps and work we will take to safeguard against other attacks in the future, will be the start of making this right.

It's not easy to say those words about your own company.

I really believe them.

Re:Medium is not the home for your ideas on Wednesday July 22, 2020 @02:10AM (#23914385)
People say that they loved medium in the past because of their custom domains. I think that they also had issues back then.

If your company is still running on Medium you're very limited with customizing your blog.

You can't add any CTA button, popup window, widget, or anything that can help you to justify your blog exsistance. If 1000 people get into your blog post, only around 30 will hit your homepage.

Compare it to other blogs where you can design it the way you want, because great UX and some traffic from Medium, I don't see the benefit of it.

Someone in Google going to have a very hard day that's for sure.
This year is becoming too strange. After 2020 ends they should do 2020 S
Once your cross the line from democracy to dictator, everything becomes legit in your eyes
I think that it's enough several community members flag a post in order for it to become irreversible. Then only a mod can probably unflag the post.
The mods can still vouch for it if they find this topic relevant
I actually enjoy reading some Medium articles but I get what you mean.

A more fair approach would be to mark Medium articles and other with sort of an icon that will let us know they have signup/paywall

Use incognito
I worked in an office few years ago, we were mostly mens and a certain kind of (in my opinion) toxic jargon was developed there.

It might be an unpopular opinion but I do think that when men and women are at the same place the chances the environment will be come toxic is way lower.

I wonder if it will happen in online community such as HN or even /r/programming on Reddit.
