I think even if the moat dries up, you could think of tokens/inference similar to compute. There's all the open source tooling available in the world for you to rent your own bare metal servers/racks and use a white glove service, yet there is demand for cloud.
At current prices, it makes sense to self host, but if the price goes down and the demand grows across different verticals, there is room for this business.
That is the line govt uses/used to justify mass surveillance. OP is just flipping the table?
Do those doxxed victims have significant power over an average person?
With great power comes greater responsibilities
> They didn't copy the texts per-se, they studied the relationships between words to build a statistical/predictive model of natural language
This is doing a lot of heavy lifting, especially when you consider the scale
Majority of the people at my company switched to Codex. All it goes to show is that performance difference at this point is minute and is a matter of taste
Supported by Stripe?

As the title suggests, how has your company adapted interview process, especially for Software Engineers in the AI world. Also, do you know of companies that have updated it?
Why be rude on purpose? OP clearly prefaced by saying it was a dumb question
They will also need mother nature to co-operate. Last winter was brutal in terms of snow, we barely had any snow the year before that!
Why is this on the front page? The article doesn't really have any new insights
They just paid income tax?
> I think the fact that we have so little information is the most important information we have. If OpenAI had a sound business plan and was on strong financial footing, they'd have IPO'd.
What about Stripe?
If you remove the path from H1-B to residency, you reduce the incentive for a lot of people to go through the H1-B hell to begin with.
Speaking personally, my Dad put me in a university in Canada instead of USA since the path to permanent immigration was so much smoother.
> then to managed Postgres (Supabase)
And then hopefully sharded Postgres via Multigres :crossedfingers:
is the salary in CAD or USD? Might be helpful to clarify in the post
Isn't HN similar, albeit with even more confidence?!
I've no horse in this debate; why create a throwaway account for this comment?
I mean that was one of the reasons why he got re-elected twice in Gujarat. It's a shame what that party has devolved to now
It's so weird reading these comments, we didn't have either of these issues in Gujarat in early 2000s (left India in mid 2000s).
> I'm from North America where jerseys are largely NBA, NHL and MLB. No ads (although, NHL has started). But the euro jersey has the biggest ad dead fucking center.
This is what you said word for word.
As someone who didn't grow up in NA, i don't understand this attitude. At least in soccer (football), we don't have to sit and watch ads and waste our time (barring the NA world cup). I know a league game will take ~2 hours to complete with a 15 minute half time break. I can allocate that time and then move on with my life. I much rather have that than having to sit through ads that end up taking more time than actual playtime! NBA used to have a thing called TV timeouts. But hey you don't get ads on the jersey
if both your mac mini and your phone are on the same tailnet, can't you just ssh to your mac mini from your phone's terminal emulator and have claude code/codex run on it?
There's obviously more to the story than outsiders are aware, but personally it just leaves a bit of sour taste in my mouth when the tech and blog posts you guys put out are amazing.
(I'm a paying PS customer)
The tech might be amazing, but the CEO comes across as an asshole
You've a tab from 9 days ago open? Maybe you should be closing your tabs more often :p
If you're actually bleeding money, you better believe you'll get permissions for a workaround, if you know what you're doing.
It all ties back to the OP, where the issue you've might not be as bad as you think. I have been in situations where we have dropped all procedures to push a hot fix because we were actively bleeding money, and in situations where you know there is an issue, and you let it be.
We use github quite a bit as well. Github being down currently is not actively losing us money, i.e. having customer impact.
