Pardon my ignorance, but isn’t that what a blockchain is?

Since when is it? If there is one thing that will get you banned from 4chan it is posting or requesting child pornography. I am not a fan of much of the content on that website, but linking them to child pornography looks like a smear job.
> They used 4chan and 8chan — websites linked to the distribution of child pornography — to organise their movement, the FBI says.

What? 4chan is linked to child pornography? This paragraph alone is casting serious doubts on the journalist’s objectivity and seriousness.

This is not the way to address a paying customer. These people truly are a bunch of clowns.

Huh? Why?

We're talking about the UK, so probably "hate speech" aka wrongthink

Second degree murder seems appropriate

Bazinga!
If one word needs to be banned, it is “diversity” - an overused and meaningless term.
... so basically argumentum ad populum. Galileo should’ve just shut up
Tl;dr? This is word salad and isn’t saying anything other than “Sam Altman shouldn’t speak about this because he isn’t a sociologist”. Where is the author’s rebuttal?
> You will have every one of your transactions tracked if you use this alt

I don’t think you understand the concept of a blockchain.

> Bcash

It’s Bitcoin Cash. You’re just making the community look like a cult.

I will never understand why people insist on using Facebook. What is the appeal? If you’re worth talking to, I will give you my phone number and we can text. For longer messages, I will send you an email. I can keep track of my contacts inside the Address book of my phone. What need exactly is Facebook filling?

Keeping everyone equally poor and miserable is an easy way to achieve this
> vice

Got any real source?

Vice is the king of sensationalist dishonest journalism. I wouldn’t put it past them if they created accounts to post racist comments and take screenshots

I don’t want to nitpick your definitions, but nazism usually refers to the ideology of the NSDAP, a party that was disbanded at the end of WW2. You probably meant to say “violent racism”, in which case the comparison to antifa, and to a lesser extent blm, seems justified (they are linked by violence).
Care to give some evidence for your claims?
Re:A convicted felon who became a Georgetown law professor on Tuesday October 17, 2017 @07:30PM (#15495814)
Well it is certainly cruel, but hardly unusual...
Is publishing this on Twatter supposed to make some ironic point? I don’t get it...
So... stripping the code of significant parts

This seems like a pretty good business model idea though!

And how would you enforce that? What would prevent anyone with access to the code from building it and using it? I don't see any way except maybe stripping the code of significant parts

Hey I would love to debate whether 100% of everything Hitler did was evil, but it's slightly off-topic
Re:Travis Kalanick Exercises Right to Appoint Two Uber Directors on Saturday September 30, 2017 @01:26PM (#15373919)
Step 1) Kalanick creates a successful company that disrupts the taxi industry

Step 2) thousands of people are now losing money and get upset at Kalanick

Step 3) millions are spent lobbying governments, suing Uber, publishing anti-Uber news, shilling against Uber on social media etc

Step 4) everyone hates Uber and Kalanick

Re:How Emotional Labor is Dragging Down Gender Equality on Thursday September 28, 2017 @01:01PM (#15358815)
It is a symptom of much deeper irrational thinking patterns. The whole point of the article is the woman complaining that her husband misunderstood how she wanted him to handle the cleaning of the bathroom. She did not tell him specifically what she wanted, instead she expected that he reads her mind and figure it out. This is not how human communication works or should work.

Also breaking out in tears over such an innocuous thing is textbook emotional manipulation.

> It was obvious that the box was in the way, that it needed to be put back. It would have been easy for him to just reach up and put it away, but instead he had stepped around it, willfully ignoring it for two days. It was up to me to tell him that he should put away something he got out in the first place.

> “That’s the point,” I said, now in tears, “I don’t want to have to ask.”

This kind of irrational thinking ended a relationship for me.

> why don't you care about me? Why aren't you able to anticipate exactly how I want you to behave at every moment?

This.

I see this kind of non-tech related "culture wars" prone article creeping into hn. Can we keep on reddit or some other non-tech forum where it belongs?

This must be a troll, and it's a pretty bad one...
