The only repeatable processes you should implement are:
1. Identifying your customer
2. Creating a fulfilling customer experience
Now there's a ton of ways to support #2, but if you've truly understood #1 you know which ways to follow with. The hard part is making the experience consistent yet unique for each customer/customer type you have. Measure everything, or create proxy measures and plan before acting.
I think this is an awesome, disruptive, and unconventional idea. Sure, you could go to elance or any other board and do any "normal" work, but here at HN you're likely to find some interesting ideas, and by making this free, it's also likely that you'll get the weird, interesting, and just maybe highly-lucrative stuff. Good luck - if I can come up with a cool concept I'll drop you a line.

Here's an active list in NY for hackers, entrepreneurs, and financing types. Lots of activity and a great resource for meet-ups, networking.
Come on. This post is a waste of time. Arguing that the start up economy is going to suffer due to the release of an "awesome" video game = true waste of time.
What's that fishy smell? Someone gave you $100k for vaporware and didn't ask about your team or code? This seems a little off to me. Without revealing any info on your product why don't you explain your grant, who gave it to you, and provide the info you pitched to gain the grant? That can't be proprietary to the point where it exposes your tech, right?
If you have RoR experience and a head for design - drop me an email. (In NYC)
Yep - single founder
1) 2 years since action / 4 since idea
2) Nope - haven't applied
3) Not yet
4) www.sketchl.tv
I'm crowdsourcing a sketch comedy show - anyone can submit, rank, vote - it's like Saturday Night Live, but with the best writing around that week, no writer's room inside jokes and stale humor. It gives writers a chance to get noticed, build a resume/reel, and get exposure on a national level.
This is a good aggregation idea for learning - why not find a few content providers/creators that could serialize a process for learning - so pieces of a song, or basic chords for guitar. Get some content made by people looking to raise their recognition, and customize it for the site. I'll bet you could get free contributions, or even mechanical turk it for different languages. Ad-supported is definitely the model right now, but what about taking requests and getting people to "donate" for specific content providers to produce requests - you may have a runaway hit for people that can tab/teach/play. Best of luck.
