I think the representation on Hacker News is somewhat skewed towards OSX developers, I'd be surprised to learn that OSX has ever outstripped Windows or Linux in terms the platform the people develop on. Certainly not as something developed for as there are a vast army of developers out there who target embedded systems, set top box, micro-controllers, industrial platforms etc.

They just want the hardware. They do not want to learn how to use a different operating system.

I'm not talking about marketshare. I'm talking about superiority.

I have been using Windows religiously for 15 years. I moved to OS X last August and it's way "too" superior to windows/linux.
