Technological progress doesn't happen in a vacuum. It's almost certain that social networks and AI will contribute to a future life-saving technology, simply by virtue of the information exchange they enable.

I don't know how you jump from "innovation doesn't happen in a vacuum" to "we will never innovate again if we regulate social network use by teens".

Technological progress does not happen in a vacuum. How many new young scientists has TikTok minted? Probably a thousand times more than those affected by eating disorder propaganda.
