I sit on the banks of the Ganges that is the news; and pick a few interesting chunks out to pile up.

I try to capture a daily snapshot of the flavor of the news, not "most important".

Defining "important" is the meta question that leads to all the other news sites existing, too.

https://spidr.today does a interesting job of gathering and batching stories from RSS feeds, if you want a more statistical approach.

I like 68knews as it runs on my retro PCs. Nothing like a cup of coffee and reading modern headlines on a 486 PC to start your day. ;)

Minimalist news

https://news.google.com/ ? It has briefs, read it and close the tab. It’s that simple.

Some popular websites for this purpose include:

1. CNN's daily news show for students that provides brief summaries of global news stories.

2. BBC's news service for children that offers short and easy-to-understand news summaries.

3. A newsletter that provides concise summaries of important news stories.

4. A podcast that gives brief updates on the day's top news stories.

5. Reuters News in Pictures: A visual news service that offers short captions with images for major news events.
