And as a developer, I see how I'm going to be collateral damage, and am less likely to do anything that gives Apple more power over me and my customers. If that means a bookmarked web app, so be it.

My company has been mulling over whether we should introduce an "app" for our product, and I've been pushing for a PWA as a nice middle ground. It feels like the right plan with the recent news of Apple's malicious compliance (pre-PWA reports), but now I'm not sure what we should do.
Apple doesn't care about developers, but because of their market share, they can screw us over however they want; because what are we going to do, not release on iOS?
