I just take the Apple Watch off for showering in the morning.
Same, pain to deal with a wet watch anyways.
Is this because of the touch screen? I have only ever used my garmins. I can't imagine having a watch I could not use in the rain.

Touch screen, the silicone/cloth straps absorbing/holding some moisture and making the wrist feel sweaty for the next hour or so..
My old Amazfit bip seems like it may give up on me any time now.. but I still can't find something that comes close to this in terms of it's 4 week battery life. Not even fitness trackers.
I already have to charge my laptop, smartphone, steam deck daily. If i have to add earphones and smart watch to that list, it would be just too much for me.
