Ultimately, we choose what we consume. Do I want a dumpster with pepperoni or not? I'm taking the pepperoni one. I don't get the moral highground of people without alternatives.

My point is: why are you choosing to consume from a dumpster at all?

> My point is: why are you choosing to consume from a dumpster at all?

My choices are as follows:

Meta vs. X, I choose X

Reddit vs. Hackernews, I choose Hackernews

I couldn't say why I choose either, I guess it's a thirst for content and ultimately, there's a visceral choice that I make that results in X / Hackernews as opposed to Meta / Reddit.

There are many more options out there than these few. But if you are enjoying your choices, then more power to you for using them

How about providing a top 3 of the better choices out there instead of making a generic comment? I would love to find a better choice.

Ok. What are you interested in?

Politicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, sharing thoughts, and a place for discussion with anons regarding those thoughts. Also memes.

I found a lot of sites that cater towards talking about politicians and science. These ones appear to be somewhat active:

  Politics / Politicians
  - https://debatepolitics.com/

  Science / Scientists

  - https://forum.cosmoquest.org/

Any decent online community will also have its share of memes. They are inevitable

Let me know if any of these hit the mark for you
