No it wasn't. Russia was always possibility and some governments pointed fingers towards Russia. Media reported these suspicions accurately. Suspicions against Poland and Ukraine were also reported.

Sure. Whatever you say. Suspicions are just suspicions. But the truth is that US orchestrated the destuction of the pipeline and the data are right there. If you are blind, it's your problem. I sure that it was crazy shit that US was contemplating targeting and killing americans during the Cuba crisis to frame the Cubans. But that was declassified and the US was the culprit. So, go back to sleep.

Which medias? Here in canada the narrative I saw was "we suspect maybe, this one, maybe that one, but we don't know". I've followed the story for a while and there was no consensus, and more importantly no real evidence of anything.
