The reason why Liz Fong-Jones is waging a war against Kiwi Farms is because they've documented, from publicly available information, various unsavory things he's done or alluded to doing [1]. For example, his confession of sexual assault - or "consent accident", as he put it.

in what universe is an SSN public information?

lots of people talk about their sex lives online, that alone shouldn’t make someone worth targeting

Null, the admin of the site, outright said he was ok with users posting stolen financial information, such as Social Security Numbers and Credit card numbers. Source: https://archive.is/0fOcS . There are other examples of private financial information being posted on the site.

Is there anything in particular you disagree with in Null's rationale for permitting this?

Here's his argument:

> There's no law against posting numbers.

> There are some instances where humiliation fetishes intentionally hold up government id (including ssn cards) while wearing diapers.

> If he did the same with credit cards, I'd also probably permit that. I don't know how I'm expected to say "oh you're posting ridiculous stuff online but because a plastic card with numbers on it is featured, I won't permit that to be published". It just doesn't make sense logically. There are plenty of public records that feature sensitive information, mostly court documents.

> The law is specifically regarding facilitating financial crimes. If someone posts FIN and then encourages people to use that maliciously, that would be deleted. If someone posts that they've already used it maliciously, I think we'd just publicly ban that user and retain the post. It makes less sense to delete evidence of a crime than to retain it so that the proper legal mechanisms can react to it.

> So in short, numbers are the same as names and addresses and photos. If you're so sloppy with your personal information that you're leaking FIN, I can't bottle that for you even if I tried. I can only discourage people from doing anything illegal and ban people who do.
