A a change log would be nice. After the anecdotes about a reduction of ANC capabilities due to a patent troll, I'm nervous as hell to plug my headphones into my laptop.

Are we 100% certain it was due to a patent troll, not quietly fixing a feature that could do damage to the ear?

Agreed, my beats solo pros always worked fine, until the final firmware update which was conveniently right before they were no longer supported. Upgrade with caution.
