It’s interesting how we spend so much time treating anxiety/depression like diseases that must be wiped out and healed. What’s sinister behind it is not only a corrupt pharma industry pushing drugs, but that the concern is often only to improve productivity not our lives. McMindfulness is a good example of this. Anxiety/depression I’ve learned, for most people, is a helpful signal by the body that we have unprocessed emotions to deal with. That could be “I actually really hate working for soulless corporations, please let me stop doing this” or often it’s something traumatic from childhood we haven’t dealt with. The trick is diving deep enough and figuring out what our body is trying to tell us. Therapy can be very helpful for this.
