I don't know what you mean by "mainstream", but what I understand by it ipv6 is mainstream since quite a while. It has an adoption rate of around 50% in the western world and signifiant places outside of it (SA,India, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Brazil)

Last I checked, IPv6 on JioFibre was broken and I couldn't get a publicly discoverable IPv6 address. Have things changed?

Airtel certainly does in some places.
