If he lived anywhere else besides Japan, he would have done jail time for the amount of fraud he did. He deserved that and got off light IMO. Dude is a complete joke and useless.

He spent around 1 year in custody before being released on bail.

And he's sentenced to 30 months, suspended.

Given that he was sold a fractional reserve system without his knowledge and the US government revealed that BTC-E was the hacker that made it a fractional reserve

Doesnt that suggest him being sentenced at all was wrong and makes him a fall guy?
