Sweden's daily mortality rate is .2 vs the US at .3 and EU at .6. All of them have a daily case rate of around 40.
I’ll make it easier. The only comparable neighbor who is actually close to them is Denmark.
The others are an order of magnitude better.
Also, Sweden’s economy dropped even more than its comparable neighbors’ economies.
> "People attacking Sweden don't realize Finland and Norway were actually more laissez faire.
> Since early June, Finland and Norway have had less restrictive policies--and they've done remarkably well."
This is, of course, not true.
Demographics, population density, social mores, healthcare, geography, climate are drastically different across Europe.
while they have an uptick in cases, deaths are steady.
Edit: What this chart makes pretty clear, who dies from covid 19. Sweden has < 100 people who were not older than 50 who died, while elderly got completely wrecked.
Can’t wait for all the self congratulatory articles about how Sweden was wrong all along.
