Wrong. It's not a luxury product when 47% of the population choose to buy it (US).

The US is rich, at a global scale. And I'd imagine poorer people in the US don't buy new Apple devices.

One thing that is pervasive in the US, is financing of expensive things (relatively speaking) through "easy" monthly payments.
