Does anyone know how much importing cars adds to the cost of a Toyota? I'm curious how much more of a lead Japan has when accounted for that.

Many "imported" cars are made in the U.S.

According to Wikipedia [1]:

> Toyota has a large presence in the United States with six major assembly plants in Huntsville, Alabama, Georgetown, Kentucky, Princeton, Indiana, San Antonio, Texas, Buffalo, West Virginia, and Blue Springs, Mississippi.

Thanks for the info! Didn't know that.

Does Toyota even import cars (to North America, at least)? I was under the impression that most of their models were built locally.
