I came to say something similar. My child gets irate when she sees an ad, esp when she plays a free to play game on the iphone and I forget to put the phone in airplane mode.

her: "Dad, what is this? I want to play my game"

me: "Oh sorry, that is an ad, let me fix this."

her: "I hate ads!"

She is basically the same with trailers.
