Thinking about how to achieve simplicity is actually quite complex. It doesn't happen easily.

I think it's not a post about minimalism, but about simple living, so it doesn't matter much if the article is long. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_living But maybe it's ironic anyway, I'm not sure.
