Personally, it's Lands' End's all weather mocs [1]. It should be noted I'm absolutely hopeless when it comes to fashion, I can only vouch for their functionality and comfort. Another commentor also mentioned Adidas Sambas as being a good standard [2].

Op says Adidas sambas. They're what I used in street football. Though I agree that the white version goes well with casual.

Unless your feet are the same shape and size and used in the same ways as parent's, the answer might not help you much.
