Where did you move if it's not too much to ask?

Just trying to find some positive examples of American small towns. As a European, if I were to relocate to the US, where would I find strong town communities?

I know for example Ithaca, NY, might qualify. Other examples in the South, Midwest, etc?

Also stroads are not just an American problem. I have found horrible stroads in places where you would never expect them such as Oxford or Copenhagen.

Some things like abstract interpretation scale quite well.

The Airbus fly-by-wire code (~100 KLOC) can be statically verified in about an hour with a modern PC.

This is not a formal proof, but it excludes entire classes of runtime errors such as de-referencing a null pointer.

Ask HN: Is the formal methods winter about to end?

Formal methods (theorem proving, model checking, static analysis, abstract interpretation, advanced type systems, program semantics, etc) have remained a relatively niche topic during the last two and a half decades. The field saw much interest during the 1980s and early 1990s. Tony Hoare's 1996 speech recognized formal methods were so far unable to scale to real-world software [1], and that...

Thanks, much appreciated! I'll drop you an email once I'm prepared to discuss this further.
I have a PhD from Cambridge, a degree in CS, etc. I have a great biotech startup idea and some funding secured in the EU.

However, I would prefer to execute it in the US as I prefer how the startup ecosystem looks over there. Is it worth the trouble / doable in terms of immigration laws to move there and bring my cofounder and some employees?
