ChatGPT does this automatically, if you pass in `function_call: "auto"`

This is about VSCode. MS is discontinuing Mac support for Visual Studio.

This also results in a relatively large number of IT consulting companies, many of which specialize in public sector service bidding. Certain large consultancies winning most of the bids and then under-delivering has pretty much become a meme at this point.
Re:OpenFlights – airport and airline data on Tuesday April 27, 2021 @11:10AM (#26956982)
Downloadable airport data on OpenFlights tends to be quite dated, missing notably e.g. the Berlin Brandenburg Airport. OurAirports (https://ourairports.com/) has a slightly different format but the data there is significantly more recent.

source: started with OpenFlights but had to switch to OurAirports for my project https://flightnotebook.com

Interesting observation. I wonder if the number of upvotes depends more on the quality of the article or the quality of comments. I have to admit that even here, I personally didn't even open the article but rather went straight to the comments.

Here's an example graph containing docker image build times: https://thisgraph.com/buckets/242dc353-562d-4520-b82d-5f3525...

Sounds like an interesting idea, but bad time to post this since the cafe seems to be closed :)

I like this! Seems like a very interesting way of finding niches that no one has thought about.

Thanks (especially for name dropping Quandl)! Using the data for investing was actually a major source of inspiration for the idea and I'll look into it, although packaging it nicely might be an issue.

Turns out working on many, many projects at the same time is actually a way to cope with a quarantine.

I've built a flight planning tool for complex itineraries https://flightnotebook.com/ (bad timing, I know)

Historical job vacancy tracking website https://careerspulse.com/

And topping it off with releasing a full-text search query builder for Postgres + Rails to github (https://github.com/wyozi/pg-searchable)

I've noticed I have been doing a lot of "site:news.ycombinator.com <topic>" searches on Google lately and thought I would compile what I find on this website. It is hosted on Github and contributions are welcome.

Obviously there is a lot of editorial bias in selecting the answers for a Q&A collection like this, but hopefully direct links to the source comments and the public nature helps alleviate these concerns a bit. The main objective of the website is to be interesting to quickly skim through or to serve as the minimal start point for research in a given topic.

Interesting! How do you crawl the companies?
