It's awesome! What sorts of hoops did you have to jump through to become an expat in the NL? Just curious.
See
https://www.kame.net/ for a basic browser test. If you see the dancing turtle, it means you're connected over IPv6.
It even works without Javascript.
This post is both helpful and appreciated.
What does this say about the web itself? Shouldn't we be building websites and web apps that run quickly regardless of the CPU executing the web browser?
I've been writing code for 40 years. That will give you and idea of my age and my experience.
You are suffering from a loss and you are heartbroken. My advice is to allow yourself to cry. Try to cry as often as possible. Doing so will help you heal. As the days go by, you will cry a little less each day. Eventually, there will be days where you don't cry and you will start to feel better. It doesn't seem like it now, but you will feel better. Hang in there.
I tried this on an Odroid-N2 and it worked great. Thank you for posting this.
I’m based in Contra Costa County, California and I’m enjoying the lockdown because the air is much fresher with the reduction of cars on the road. There is almost no smog and it’s wonderful.
As a subscriber of Disney+, I can say that it would be much more attractive if it included past and current content of ABC.
What type of visa do you have and how did you qualify for it? Was it difficult to get?

PG&E has floated the possibility of a major power cut in Northern California this week. Realistically, if a multitude of counties lose power, will cell phone service continue to function for the duration of the outage?
This major security breach had nothing to do with the core Amadeus system, which the TechCrunch article described as "an outdated and archaic passenger record system." This breach was in the web-facing interface that has been layered on top of the core system, which is modern and undoubtedly implemented using the same standards and methods as any other web application.
A lot of people make a living sitting in a chair all day. What are we all supposed to do instead? The implications of this are pretty far-reaching.
Just tried it and it worked great.
It's now past 12:00 US/Pacific and the incident is still ongoing. I'm thinking that they don't have as many customers as they'd like us to believe. There's been very little discussion and no outrage. If AWS had an incident lasting this long, there would be a lot more noise.
Our load is not being "balanced", as not all backends are being utilized because of this.
I'm sore about it too. I had one of the original phones and I loved it. It was simple and elegant. The author mentioned something about spending too much time copying Android. That was definitely misplaced effort. Why not spend the time making something original? IMO, Mozilla spends too much time in general copying others. Look at the Firefox browser. It seems more and more like Chrome every release. I much preferred the original Firefox.
Somebody asked why I submitted this. I thought it was news that amidst the turmoil of the meltdown, people working for British Airways still managed to call the police on one of their customers.

Here's a thought. Instead of criticizing the article for scaremongering, how about rebutting the points? If you don't believe the permafrost is melting, say why. If you don't believe the planet is warming up, say why. If you don't believe that humans are contributing to the warming, say why. If you don't believe that ancient microbes thawing out is a matter to be concerned about, say why. By offering this sort of discourse, those of us who don't study microbes and infectious disease, for example, can become better informed.
My thoughts, exactly. Thank you for putting them in to words.
We've had the same problem with updates. We've also had reports from Europe that customers have been unable to resolve our www hostname.

I agree. In particular, I'm extremely disappointed about their failure to deliver concepts.
"The latest draft makes clear that the government will take a pragmatic approach, and no company will be required to remove encryption of their own services if it is not technically feasible."
Aren't the recent demands on Apple "technically feasible"?
Who will parse the difference between speech critical of the government's policies and "hate speech"? The team that Zuckerberg is funding to work with the police?
It would be better to keep the state on PDT year-round, IMO.

Can some French readers of Hacker News please weigh in on this? Why are you tolerating this sort of thing after witnessing the damage the United States did to itself after 9/11?
