Re:FerroUI a cross-platform UI framework for Rust on Monday November 02, 2026 @04:17PM (#50343884)
I think main selling point its based on mature foundation from .NET world, extended to modern Rust with fast native rendering, hot reload, declarative idiomatic Rust syntax, React like syntax or classing MVVM Xaml apps. It has also ports of major components like docking, high performance DataGrid etc.

Well pixel perfect would require different rendering approach. I am adding new WebGPU rendering engine and might add this original look as option too.

Its new era, you can build, experiment and do fun projects at will , takes few hours to get anything into working prototype. Some of projects might fail, be buggy but exploration pace is unmatched and fun level too.

I always wonder how we have lost so many useful concepts in our tooling and IDEs.

Its fun project and has many bugs still , its major work to make this fully work as one would expect, but keep checking I am putting many new features and fixes now. Thanks for feedback.

You can export apps as single page html, more original exports are on the works but it more complex.

Yeah working adding some basic Win32 api compatibility.
Its just readme is bad here , sorry need to update, code is much better actually, alpha because api is not final.
Yeah readme needs rewrite
Well that's fair point, but the library code is actually pretty well done and working so don't judge just be the readme.

Re:Show HN: Vello's high-performance 2D GPU engine to .NET on Sunday October 12, 2025 @05:16AM (#45556717)
For perspective VelloSharp compared to SkiaSharp (similar 2D rendering api) is about 100x faster with complex animated 2D scenes and scales with fast GPU.

For example Avalonia offers closed source paid offering compared to my work which is free to use with AGPL-v3 I would call it great choice of licensing instead doing closed source release you have to pay? Also corporate can afford to license this project for sure, don't they. Project solves huge performance issues being even 100x faster then other offerings like SkiaSharp in .NET landscape.
Its using Avalonia UI framework without any game/3D engine https://github.com/wieslawsoltes/Minecraftonia
Thanks. Hope one day I can do it with Avalonia too for my Apple Watch :)
