Hello community,In 2022, I was among many engineers affected by tech layoffs. Looking for a new job was nasty; on top of the general feeling of dread, I could not find a tool that would have the sense of "this is simple like dealing with a spreadsheet" while talking to dozens of companies. So I decided to work on my own.I refined the idea (and, quite frankly, procrastinated on top of it) for the...
Just curious, where were you from?
That's really cool. Thank you!

This is really interesting. Here in Brazil we have a strong "japanese food" industry, obviously inclined to our western way; it's always amusing to see how important it is for the people who created it in the first place.
Maybe if his batteries were around 20%...

You still have time to penetrate into the hotels niche.
The winning idea will get an MVP, free of charge. I'm not related to this company. Does it look like a good idea?

I hope I wasn't the only one mouse hovering the XKCD image that appears in the RSS reader (Feedly here) to see its actual ALT.
A simple idea that is nicely done. Congrats.
The idea looks great. Do you have some actual success histories to share?
This game is terrible, but I played it around 200 hours with some friends. It's quite fun when you do it social, but we defined some rules:
- Never get into servers with more than 40% of the slots occupied (resulting in a lesser chance of stumbling over hackers)
- Keep always a low profile and avoid the big cities
- Go for a safe zone at least one time per hour
It was fun, and I miss those days. Too bad the game doesn't kept us interested on playing it because of the lack of good news. Still I'm pretty sure Sergei made a buckload of money with it.
I think this raises the old conversation about exposing your idea in the wind. In this case, directly to a company who can actually put it to work really fast.
Let's wait for the next thoughts about this.
Still, the idea is cool.
It's ironic how companies and countries want to operate globally, and in the same sentence they come with something like this.
Those moving points really got me. Gotta look tonight (Github blocked @ company sigh)
Very cool to see coding ability turning into a new commodity - and a game changing one.
The people at Buzzfeed will love it :)
I love how deleted comments actually never disappear.
You, sir, are a real hacker :)
So... What about the finalists? Have they used the API to its full power?

Now I start to understand a coleague who don't recommend using Node before it gets mature.
It's kinda exciting for devs to use something that's actually still being built, but now we'll face different versions of the same tool. And, taking in consideration the oficial NodeJS will still be the one owned by the current BDFL, I fear this split of ideas actually inject problems for developers getting introduced to node.
Wow, certainly a big punch on the company face
