Beautiful, wow thanks for creating and bringing attention to Indian classical music. I like all sorts.. Coke studio and dream journey has done some good stuff to ease people into the genre. Not hard classical, more semi-classical

Magic spirit medicine of nature.. heals the heart. No surprise these patients lives are getting changed. Highly recommend those adventurous to try it, very rare that someone doesn’t have some trauma to heal from.

The light airy folks tend not to do well with fasting. The heartier meatier guys that tend to hold weight and can weather a few days of fasting are better suited.

Fasting, twice a week, used to be very strict but then dropped back to just having some tea.. fasting is very powerful, gave me my mojo back in mid 30s after burnout from top tier consulting firm and grad school, got testosterone boost, clarity of mind, physical fitness and confidence, amazing tool.. but body has to be of the right disposition.

What about blind..?

Ask HN: How to deal with old grumpy colleague?

I encounter an old grumpy “no-nonsense” very condescending type of character in meetings at work. He is a Sr engineer type who attends meetings to weigh in on things, not in my direct line of management. The guy is older (50+ likely) and talks to everyone like they don’t know what they’re doing. Very little in the way of any politeness whatsoever (and i really don’t expect much). Whenever i...

This is heart breaking man.. this freaks me out. I’m a young parent, two small kids. Working and trying to keep the family going has been hard on us and our relationship. Need to tell my wife I love her more, you’re right it can go at any second. This is a good thread..
I guess this is a COVID-time work confessions thread.. Under 35 here and yeah, it’s real.

Working at a FAANG. It’s nuts.

It’s almost like if you have a family the deck is stacked against you. My manager low key told me to come to work in our office (which is now open) so my kids don’t distract me working from home. (And don’t tell me to go to HR, we all know how that’s going to end up..)

The other senior engineers who try to be human by asking “how’s everyone really doing” it’s more cute than anything.

It hasn’t gotten any easier folks!

The only way I’ve found to survive here as a young parent is to just give up sleep. We’ve got some young kiddos at home.. no idea how folks do this, and no surprise at all folks are burning out and it seems like less and less people are having kids any more.

If you’re going through it, hope it gets better for you!
