Contact me @ [email protected], you won't regret. I'm into the same stuff, let's talk? :D
Not so large.

Ask HN: In need of SERIOUS help

I work about ~10h a day in a agency in Brazil(and I "travel" in public transport for 4h to get there). It's my first month there, but heres the deal:- I have a degree in comp. sci.- I can do frontend(pretty well versed in js) to backend(rails/node.js/php, you pick)- I can speak english(rare shit here in Brazil).- I have done like 9000 projects that I didn't finish, my fault. Most of them were...

Had a bunch of them that left in 1 month not doing anything :D
If you were starting over again, just out of college(or dropping out of it), what would you do?

For how long do you want to run ycombinator like it is(with you working somehow close to the startups instead of just hiring people to do it)?

Do you regret your "venture" in painting? If not, why?

Re:Show HN: 2 guys -- Learned to code in 3 months and built this on Wednesday February 29, 2012 @11:34AM (#3648424)
NICE! I wish I had determinated co-founders like you guys.

The UI looks good :)

How to master learn TDD/BDD?

I see a lot of presentations on the web that is just a "presentation" about cucumber and rspec. But I want to use it, so, give me resorces do learn it(I'm kinda tired of books and I know the existence of one), so, something that I can watch and interact looks better. Also, if possible, resources to master ruby would be greatly appreciated.

Re:Ask HN: How do you develop your weekend projects? on Friday February 03, 2012 @01:51PM (#3548303)
Don't waste time with design: use twitter bootstrap, jquery UI and stuff that let's you do it later.

Know the ins and out's of auth and stuff that most of web app does have.

Know what the hell you are building -- development/programming is impossible to master so you will spend most of your time googling shit and fixing errors, try to minimize the amount of time spent.

Know how to emacs/vim/any text editor that makes you productive.

Know how to deploy fucking fast.

Re:Looking for friends that can hack on Thursday January 05, 2012 @07:21AM (#3428438)
Yes, a good programmer.

Looking for friends that can hack

I've finished college and god, now I feel awful. I tried meeting some hackers through those 'find a cofounder' apps and I had a horrible experience, we just talked about 'how can we make money together' instead of having real bonds(I think that's what makes a good cofounder).I know that much of you had awesome friends in college, or met into meetups and so on that are hackers and don't have...

Re:Rob "CmdrTaco" Malda's Resume. Anyone interested? on Friday December 02, 2011 @06:27PM (#3306223)
You are very good sir, and also lucky. You are talented and hardworking, but, still lucky.

There's a lot of talented and hardworking people here, like you, not as lucky tho.

Let's build something some of your ideas(the hardest preferably) in node, contact is in the profile.

I can teach you some node also. Let's hack something.

Re:A better Hackerbuddy on Friday December 02, 2011 @10:47AM (#3304315)
Hahaha, do it!
- Brazil.

- Fullstack webdev, BA in Computer Science.

- I can node.js, rails, php, jquery, css, html, tableless, SEO... I'm just not so into business(but i have a rather BIG interested in it, also to run a company, own the world and stuff).

- I'm up to anything... but I have a good idea that I would like to discuss about.

- Something related with food, I can't detail much it here.

- As much as I need, but I would like to keep it 20h before we find that something we did is in the lines of: "Ok, this is big!".

E-mail and stuff in my profile, have fun. I would prefer somebody that is the jack of all trades, master of none, that hacks solutions and somehow get things done. OR a business guy that can make me work and think that he's the alpha-boss of the world(good luck). But feel free to contact me if you are something else.

You could make cooler routes like:

hackerbuddy.com/:user

or

/user/:user

Instead of using their user ID's.

But I god damn love this.

Re:Who will be remembered 1,000 years from now? on Sunday October 09, 2011 @11:22AM (#3090587)
Albert einstein, bohr, schrodinger(text books), zizek(still alive!), gandhi and neil armstrong.

The people that will be remembered in 1000 years aren't actually those frequently in the media(say, steve jobs), steve jobs is clearly overhyped and will fade away just like justin bieber did.

"Brazil is probably no more corrupt than other countries of similar size and wealth. It came out better than China and India and a long way ahead of Russia in the latest index of perceptions of corruption compiled by Transparency International, a German NGO. Brazil is blessed with competitive and aggressive media and tenacious institutions that investigate such scandals, revolving around the public-prosecutor’s office, a semi-autonomous part of the federal government and its local equivalents. This scrutiny has a price: the government thinks that another watchdog, the audit tribunal, is holding up spending on infrastructure unnecessarily."
Re:Ask HN: How would you react to this programming test? on Wednesday October 05, 2011 @04:39PM (#3077464)
I would pass the test.

I wish companies hired based on tests not experience/education, so I would easily get that 100k job. Companies are full of shit.
