Very cool. Can this be calibrated to an existing track? I wonder in case of spin outs how would someone get back on track.
Either way very cool demo
Just came out of this. I can totally see where you are coming from. When I started 3 years back I had same concerns and doubts. But took the leap of faith. You have to trust your skillsets and have some confidence. You have worked for 10 years so you do have good amount of experience. In my experience it was much easier for me to get interviews lined up. And honestly in terms of career progression I am farther ahead than I imagined.
One thing that I would improve though is have some idea before jumping off the wagon. Need not have product or funding secured (better if you can) but some direction. Also would highly advise looking for someone to work with unless you are going indie route. It can get lonely and is a roller coaster of emotions daily.
One of the biggest problems with dev environments is maintenance just like documentation. As a dev, when I am working on my local environment, if something breaks, I usually end up finding some hack to fix it and move on with my feature/assigned task. Most devs leave it to the "new guy" who is onboarding.
I also think having templates as code might be a way to alleviate that issue to certain extent.

Me and my friend have started a small group interview program. Hey, thanks for the feedback. I do agree comparing to those options it does sound expensive. However there is live interaction involved with weekly live sessions, IMs, daily schedules, discussion around your solution and time complexity estimations, report on your progress in terms of problems solved, time committed vs spent.
You are welcome to join and if you feel it is expensive compared to value provided, we offer refund at any point. No questions asked.

Hi all,
Due to abundance and growing number of tools, libraries and frameworks I find it hard to discover new technology. Hence I have started a blog where I try to add a new tools every working day. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

A business model that might work for enterprises (assuming they find the tool useful)
With xamarin or visas? ;)
I am working on an app to organize the passport information. Like visas associated with it, expiration, date of leaving/entering a country.
Idea is to make it easy to get certain information of your passport when you need it without having the passport handy.
For now targeted towards immigrants in USA. Using xamarin to build the app. Plan is to finish development by April end.
Most of the junior roles,in tech companies, are filled with new grads or rather resumes from colleges. I would suggest going to career fairs and conferences/meetups. Many recruiters scout here for junior positions. Also, do not be disappointed with rejection. You just need one acceptance :). There are many companies out there. Apply like a bit.
Good luck.
that is why I have different email address for newsletters. Let them spam.
The idea seems pretty good. I signed up for it. However, the auto adding to the list sounds a little scary. Even with linkedin and security of it, I get too many inMails from Hiring folks. So did not enroll into that.
Can you not use your the same intelligence to recommend me jobs rather than me inputting search queries? Or maybe I do not have a profile that matches the jobs postings.
