Re:Does the human lifespan have a limit? on Saturday February 12, 2022 @03:21PM (#30315999)
Check out the book of Genesis. There is a specific point at which God changes the maximum human lifespan to 120 years, after which this does not occur.
Re:War Is a Racket (1933) on Saturday January 29, 2022 @05:42PM (#30131328)
This talk from 1933 aged poorly. America's initial lack of intervention in WW2 resulted in Pearl Harbor and German conquest of most of Europe. Smedley Butler can stay forgotten as a footnote in the dusty annals of history.
Re:Israel police uses NSO’s Pegasus to spy on citizens on Tuesday January 18, 2022 @04:30PM (#29986174)
Sure, though can you explain how pointing out hypocrisy is nationalistic? Nobody is saying either country is better or worse.
Re:Why ideologies harm individuals on Sunday January 16, 2022 @01:37PM (#29958565)

Re:Ruling party figures say Poland has Pegasus spyware on Friday January 07, 2022 @02:15PM (#29843432)
Calling it authoritarian is an opinion, which can be debated. The parent comment said the government was not democratic, which is false.
Re:Ruling party figures say Poland has Pegasus spyware on Friday January 07, 2022 @02:04PM (#29843284)
The fact is, this is how democracy works. Most Poles currently prefer this government to a neoliberal cesspool.
That's all true, though I suppose the same could be said of Dropbox
Re:Abolish Yale on Sunday December 12, 2021 @01:54PM (#29532392)
In a sense, Yale is an extension of the American political superstructure. I'm not sure if true social justice is, or should be, a political goal. Historically, this niche has been best served by religious organizations such as the Catholic church.
