If you are choosing a path that involves editing text, why does it not make sense that you would need to study and practice to get good at the tools of your trade? Does a carpenter or airline pilot not need study and practice with their tools to get good at their trade?

No it wasn't. If you didn't have an irc bouncer there was no scrollback, mod abuse was rampant, netsplits were just a thing we accepted. It didn't work on mobile because they didn't exist back then. I'm not saying what we have today is any better, but let's not look at IRC with rose-tinted glasses and think it didn't have room to improve.

This is why the distinction between open weights and open source is important.

How do you verify that privatemode.ai or tinfoil.sh are actually running the AI in a secure enclave? If you're the untrusting type, there's no way for them to prove they're not faking it being run on a fake secure enclave. If you're the really untrusting trusting type, "On Trusting Trust" should be your guidebook and local hardware won't save you either.

All businesses are reliant on multiple third parties doing their thing in order for the business to be viable. A lot of companies exist at the whims of Amazon or Walmart.

What's with the "trial" ness of it? It's a bit weird. Since you're on Cloudflare you're fitting in their free plan, so why make it seem like a subscription thing that costs money when there's no facility for that? Also the overemphasis on having no account is weird.
I hit the page and started typing an answer into the box without reading any of the rest of the page. "THE BUNDLE YOU WERE HANDED" was rather presumptuous. It seems you could just ask those five questions as agree disagree from 1-5 like every other psychology test and not use any AI.

All three of them used the same vendor, Irregular, to sandbox their AI. That vendor apparently is no good at their job because all three of them had incidents caused by their sandbox failing.

We don't have to hold up paperclips as theoretical anymore. AI needs RAM. All of it. The real life paperclip maximization is RAM chips.

In related news, Core 4 Solutions listed a decommissioned $60 million AI supercomputer cluster featuring 9,600 Nvidia A100 GPUs on eBay. It's six years old. Nvidia isn't Intel with tick and tock, but they're still going to come out with newer hardware every year.

They would be hitting different problems. Taken to a ridiculous opposite extreme, think about your most recent project. Think about having it organized into a separate git repo for every file. One file per git repo. Absolutely ridiculous. You'd need a bunch of glue programs to deal with the pile of git repos you now have. How do you handle the problem of different branches for every file? You need some sort of orchestrator. It's a thought experiment, you wouldn't actually do that, but at scale, eg Google, Facebook, and now OpenAI; that's where they operate. Orchestrating between a bunch of different repos is a different problem entirely but a monorepo solves a lot of problems while creating others. Some are more solvable than others.

What caused the fault? In the case that the error code encodes everything you actually need to solve the problem, sure, but having used OBDii readers I doubt that's universally the case. If you'd like to pay the mechanic more to diagnose the problem, sure. It seems it would be better to make it illegal for the mechanics to upload your data without your consent though.

Is it? Obama era actions against Iran were pulled back by the following administration and unfortunately the world will never know if Harris could have been goaded into bombing Iran the same way the current President was. Hillary Clinton, while working for the state department has stories about being told that jets were hot on the runway and the US needed to jump in as well.
