Re:Confessions of an Instagram Influencer on Friday December 02, 2016 @05:33AM (#13087542)
I guess(and hope) more and more people are going to accept the fact, most beautiful photos on social media are fake and crafted reality. The people appeared in a photo just like a cartoon character similarly. What you see is not reality but dream you want to live with. Just like you are watching a movie, sometime you can get out from the movie, but you know it is a movie deep in your heart
Re:AngelList acquires Product Hunt on Friday December 02, 2016 @02:26AM (#13086807)
I look PH as a very good place to promote products, and it's born to promote products. No matter it's a good or bad product, they all don't want to miss a chance to reach their customers.

> True users vote for USEFUL and/or LOVELY products for themselves, growth hackers try their best to drive users vote for specific products.

I can't see that's good or evil, growth hacking may hurt the community, or may bring a lot of users and traffic in a short period.

And I think every community has possibility to become a place for growth hackers if it needs to attract more users and grow bigger.

Just like every corner has possibility to become a place for advertisements. If I don't like it, I just ignore it. And that also makes opportunity for competitors or products like ad-block to stand out.

Anyway I love PH and really feel sad for the acquisition.

Re:Prototype ergonomic mechanical keyboards on Wednesday December 11, 2013 @08:43PM (#6892315)
I think it would be very helpful to prevent twisting my wrist as QWERTY standard keyboard.
Re:Ask HN: Is it just me or has YouTube gone fanatical on ads? on Saturday November 30, 2013 @05:20AM (#6822793)
It is not me. Here it is like 1 in every 10 or more videos, chances are when I continue to watch videos there could be no ads. Actually, some ads I really like that I want to replay.

It is not like in Chinese Youtube-alike online video sites, like Youku, Letv, they have 30 - 60 seconds ads in every beginning of a video, and there was no chance to "skip" the ads, even I use Adblock, it MAY be block the contents but never the ad itself.

Re:Winamp shutting down on December 20th, 2013 on Thursday November 21, 2013 @04:51AM (#6773878)
I think it's just for good-old-day's memory. Just like Super Mario.
I tried to search in App Store on my iPad, it showed me no result ?

Re:Introducing TogetherJS on Wednesday October 16, 2013 @11:28PM (#6563522)

When I heard the news of BBM for iOS launched, I did search in App Store, nothing but just could see a white blank screen. Then I used google to find the direct link, can't even open that in App Store.

Re:Puffin Browser on Monday August 12, 2013 @12:09AM (#6197615)
I just noticed that both puffin's web site and the browser itself, are blocked in my area. Some place in Beijing, China. I am not sure if it is the same to other ISP or company in Beijing.

After connected using vpn( this is able to watch youtube HD videos ), It works but speed is terribly slow at beginning. But then, it runs FAST.

This title could attract more traffic. Programmer is a good topic, and double salary as well.

Your point is correct. But people will ignore the key.

Nope. See this Programmers salary report :

http://www.programmer.com.cn/14918/

CNY 3k - 5k , that means USD 400 - 800.

Nearly 1/5 programmers in China live in this salary.

What USD 500 can buy in America?

Re:iOS 7 on Thursday June 13, 2013 @03:11AM (#5872708)
As some one said(I forgot the reference ), it's not Flat design, it's flatter than previous version.

I agreed with "I think iOS 7, on the whole, looks worse than iOS 6." The icons look weird, and most of all, harder to be recognized than pre-version, that's why they lose their elegant.

I prefer to say, Flat design does not mean a flat element, flat appearance, flat interface. We should feel flat, the interactive should be flat, not just only our eyes see it is flat.

Re:Find Your Color Scheme on Tuesday May 28, 2013 @02:32AM (#5778488)
I prefer this site. clearer and simpler, focus, than http://colourco.de/
looks some one negative my comment.

Could I have the reason why you think it's shitty?

Did I say something wrong? or unproper?
