Okay it looks very interesting. I’ll definitely start it soon

A manager that is not as good as the engineer they are managing / wasn’t ab engineer, would be managing a team where the actual engineers are doing all the job and taking all the critical decisions. The manager would feel weak whenever the technical side of the work is being questioned, reviewed, planned, explored; they can only listen to the engineers, they’d have no say in most topics, weak arguments, will look lost. However, a manager who was previously an engineer that actually worked for years, and got exposed to many projects, will lead by excellence and can intervene in most subjects with high confidence. As for the managerial skills, one could learn them with time (ofc some of them are naturally given), but i’ve seen managers with very little soft skills, learn a lot, and do well.

Would I enjoy watching it for the first-time today? Or I should’ve watched it before, and re-watch it now to have this feeling/realization?
From an engineer, who’s devastated by this, i have to admit/raise my concern: why do we still need engineers to make architecture? Why is everyone saying that’s a must? For me the toughest problem was coding a huge repo/pkgs, architecture should be much of an easier task to do. I’ve seen it do sys design, scaled architecture better than 10X engineers. With good planning, context and prospective info -> it can produce extremely good architecture even for complex systems.
Companies with billions of $, stopping R&D on the most revolutionizing technology/ breakthrough is something I can’t understand. I do understand there’s an AI Race to win, and that is with transformer and current LLMs architectures, but if research could find a better, more efficient approach they would re-shape this race, lead it, or even dominate it.

Did Vibe Coders win? Is this our end?

As much as I hate writing this, this has been bothering me for a while.I keep seeing experienced software engineers, people who have been coding for 20 or 30 years, saying that software engineering isn’t going anywhere and that AI replacing engineers is nowhere close to reality.I really want to believe them. But a lot of the arguments sound familiar. Two or three years ago, people said AI...

Do I Stop Learning Coding? DSA?

Hey. I don’t know how to start this. It’s all over me. I’ve been trying to learn Coding, Data Structures, Algorithms, Design Patterns, Best practices etc… but will I still need that? Am i wasting my time? Can really AI do all this, and actually do it better? Are we in an Era, where one should only need to learn the ‘basics’ of development, so that I can understand some LLM generated code? Where...

Tired of AI When will this era end?

First fancy LLMs, then image generation, then assistants, then agents… When will this end? I’m tired of this hype. Everytime I open HN, or any other community based platform, everyone is talking about AI. Why does this ick me? Am I alone? Simply because i’ve spent my past years, learning how to code, building stuff, reading docs, debugging, scraping through stackoverflow etc…. Am I just,...

How can a user “verify” that the bug remains unfixed? So when a user reports a report, the user should check if the bug was solved after each update?
Re:Is anybody else bored of talking about AI? on Tuesday March 24, 2026 @05:36PM (#47509743)
Gosh how i miss the old HN Days… where one would actually code, read docs, and develop stuff and feel happy about it. Not write a prompt and watch a chatbox do all the work in a matter of seconds. It’s like we’re losing the meaning of building something… dk how to explain it more. But yeah, it’s tech! Nothing stays the same
Re:GitHub is once again down on Tuesday March 24, 2026 @05:31PM (#47509676)
Can this downtime be quantified to actual monetary losses?
Re:Hacker mints $80M USD worth of USR stablecoins on Tuesday March 24, 2026 @05:08PM (#47509341)
Yeah but aren’t those KYC-based platforms? I mean eventually he can get tracked down… no?
Re:Hacker mints $80M USD worth of USR stablecoins on Monday March 23, 2026 @07:24PM (#47496497)
And what happened next? He mixed those coins? Transformed them into monero?
I usually work on several devices simultaneously, and having to lift, turn the mouse and press the button on the bottom to switch between devices has been a huge hurdle for me. Do you think we can achieve this device-switching mechanism, from within those 6 programmable keys instead? Or this is not possible?
Nice one! Are you opening contributions? I’d like to see if we can do some plugins/packages, same way we have for notepad++
Cool. Also, maybe a nice-to-have efficiency feature is to prevent the visited URLs from fully loading (to minimize excessive data consumption) — i dk if there’s a way to prevent JS from fully loading/downloading certain stuff.
Hey cool one. Fingerprints, FaceID, EyePrint would be a plus to add to it, what do you think? Stay safe
Hey, smart one! - Why not allow the behavioral/timing intervals somehow random, with predefined threshholds? Just to simulate real user interactions. - Also, what’s the criteria for choosing those URLs? (Any security measures?) - Those URLs being visited are the same? i.e. you mentioned the URLs being visited are hardcoded, so eventually the ISP can filter our those URLs… unless if they are continuously enriched/interchanged.

Hey, cool project! I saw you are planning to add javascript/html/css support soon. This will still work for React based frontends right? Or support will be for vanilla codebases only? Thx!
