Re:Keyboard differences between Windows and Macs on Friday October 09, 2026 @04:03AM (#50017473)
I geniunely like typing on current Mac keyboards, but regardless: Apple wouldn’t add them to laptops due to space constraints, and on desktop you’ve got plenty of other great options for Mac-compatible keyboards.
Why? Letting it burn to the ground will bring about federated git forges faster.
Re:Remove and Disable Apple Macos27 AI Models Tool on Monday October 05, 2026 @06:59AM (#49963269)
Because it would definitely be too difficult to do both for a ~$5T market cap company?
Re:iPod of 2026 on Thursday October 01, 2026 @04:26PM (#49926657)
Presumably Apple has a patent on the clickwheel? But maybe that just expired given the first iPod is now 25 years old.

I’m not a Mac developer: what does the NS stand for?
Re:Palantir founder purchases large swath of forest in Sweden on Monday September 28, 2026 @05:21PM (#49884561)
Cheapest I can find in Härjedalen with at least 4 acres is this 70 acre plot for 400k SEK or 40.2k USD: https://www.hemnet.se/bostad/gard-harjedalens-kommun-overber...
Re:Palantir founder purchases large swath of forest in Sweden on Monday September 28, 2026 @05:10PM (#49884403)
That’s a strange map in the article. It makes it looks like he’s bought all of Härjedalen, rather than two orders of magnitude less. It’s still a chunky piece of land, but it’s definitely not that big.
Re:When did Google get so f-ing weird? on Monday September 28, 2026 @03:47PM (#49883389)
If your hammer magically morphs into a saw you don’t keep on trying to hit nails with it, you put it down and pick up a different hammer.

I don’t understand how we’re 60 comments in and yet no-one has suggested that the problem is that you’re continuing to use Google despite it changing its core offering out from underneath your feet. If you want search (which isn’t an unreasonable desire) then Google isn’t the place for you any more.
Re:Improving site performance by shipping more CSS on Sunday September 27, 2026 @03:50AM (#49864362)
Those class names surely gzip better than hashes over the wire?
Slop, if you hadn’t guessed by the .ai domain.
I can’t get past the missing apostrophe in the logo, sorry. I know that makes me shallow.
