What is your email? Would love to pick your brain as currently ideating along similar lines.
You would be surprised to learn that majority of small businesses that you buy from on a daily basis operate on razor thin margins.
Re:GitHub is removing the Trending Repositories page on Thursday September 01, 2022 @10:09PM (#32685803)
I think this depends on the trending page itself so might no longer work as it stands.
Re:Zapier: A $5B Unbundling Opportunity on Tuesday April 12, 2022 @08:23PM (#31009808)
What functionality do you use IFTTT (assuming you made a typo with 'IFTT') for that Zapier does not support?
I disagree. If you know how to code that is your biggest competitive advantage as a solopreneur. Do that and hire the sales guy instead.
“…treat the absence of one as a lack of consent. ” - do you have a source for this?

Their documentation states otherwise https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/robots/ro...

What incentives do mainstream brokerages have to building public APIs? It seems to me data asymmetry is the name of the game in Wall Street and it’s no different for retail brokers.

Re:Five Years a (Bootstrapped) Founder on Saturday January 15, 2022 @11:44PM (#29953436)

Re:Ask HN: Solo-preneurs, how do you DevOps to save time? on Tuesday October 12, 2021 @09:00PM (#28847021)
Are you actually doing this for a production app with income you rely on? Because Heroku has horrendous uptime these days. Lot's of random emergencies on both worker and web dynos. Don't forget you share routing with thousands of other apps too so expect random hiccups there too. It's easy to give this advice but does not scale well with complexity.

Re:Show HN: Top forty hottest songs everyday from Twitter on Wednesday November 09, 2011 @04:28PM (#3217489)
We are using Twitter's Streaming API and go through tweets as they come in. Then we figure out the song/artist information and then aggregate that at the end of each day.

That's a good point. So far most of the top songs just shuffle between each other. New songs start appearing towards the bottom of the list. Maybe a "random" feature could help with this?
