I wanted a simple way to continuously publish my favorite reads online - without having to sign up for an external service like Pocket, or manually export my bookmarks each week.
So I built this - a simple site + Chrome Extension to automatically sync bookmarks online. All you have to do is rename a bookmarks folder to contain the word "(publish)", and anything added to that folder will be dynamically updated on your own page.
For example: https://linquist.app/view/edb18a0cec0940ccddb616802a1773a7f7...
Sharing it here in case anyone finds it useful.
Couple caveats:
* Chrome only.
* You must be signed into Chrome to use it. I know that's not great for privacy, but it keeps bookmarks in sync across multiple Chrome installs - the alternative is to create a Linquist-specific account.
Hope it's useful!
Wanted to share a site that myself and a group of volunteers - mostly former employees of Google, Uber, and Facebook - have been building. Helping Hands connects those most vulnerable to COVID-19 (such as the elderly and immunocompromised) with volunteers that can run errands for them - like delivering groceries and picking up prescriptions.
We're a 100% volunteer effort. We have a few hundred users signed up and a several dozen deliveries made, and we're trying to further spread the word to those who need help and those who can volunteer.
We're also looking for help on the product & eng side - if you'd be interested in contributing to this, feel free to email me at [email protected].
