Re:E-Bandages lightly zap and heal wounds on Wednesday March 08, 2023 @07:32PM (#35076763)
How can you “lightly” zap something? Like Oh I’m gonna shoot the moon on this pocket scooter .. no buddy
Or stop reproducing so much, so there are fewer ICEs needed in a few short generations. How anyone chooses to have children these days is beyond me..
Thank god we have these close relatives to experiment on!
Well said. For me, a person who admittedly has some pretty far-out beliefs/theories, it’s because there is generally no penalty for having these beliefs. Sure, at work where things count, I make sure my theories adhere to reality. But when I’m out chilling in nature? My goal then is to have fun, and entertaining crazy ideas is my idea of a good time. People who have to be correct all the time are kind of missing out and expending a lot of useless energy.

Plus, the universe is so wild that even modern science probably doesn’t cut as deep as we think it does.

Eat potassium and chelated magnesium

I don’t feel like writing an essay about this to convince other people.

She would play a game with her father in which she would order him around and he would reply, “I obey”, etc. This gives some evidence to my long-held belief that dictators are men who are basically mind-controlled by manipulative women who operate in the shadows. It’s like the part of the dictator’s mind that is a dutiful husband is hacked by an evil hacker.
I mean, it’s not ridiculous to posit a relationship between quantum mechanics and consciousness. Even Einstein and Bohr debated whether or not the moon exists when one is not looking at it.
magnesium and potassium. I’ve experienced profound immediate lowering of blood pressure by taking 0.25-0.5 g of potassium bicarbonate every day or every few days. Try to get 4 g of potassium per day from diet or supplement. I’ve published some research on potassium sensing in renal physiology. Other benefits I’ve noticed are decreased heart palpitations and more mental energy. A note about magnesium: make sure you’re taking a chelated form. Most multivitamins use MgO, which is not very bioavailable. The difference in absorption is like eating a rock vs eating a gummy bear.

Piperine, an extract from black pepper, is known to increase absorption of nutrients in the gut. A study on PubMed shows increases of curcumin absorption by 2000% after taking piperine. Personally, I have noticed great effects when I take piperine in combination with other compounds. I got here from studying ancient Chinese medicine.
As someone who can tolerate just about anything - take it back to the start: we were thrust into this life without our consent. Life is inherently an inconvenience from this perspective. So what if a roommate doesn’t do dishes, if people cheat, break rules, etc? I didn’t even ask to be here in the first place. I am quiet, happy, unbothered, when I adopt this view. But not unambitious, lazy, etc. Quite the contrary. It just seems like complaining about rule-breakers is worse than rule-breaking itself.
Here here. What a great thing to no longer confront in our daily lives.

Play sports. Visit the countryside.
Yes, true. I don’t think I had AFib now that you mention it. I had a fluttering very similar to what you described. I never received a diagnosis, but I thought I’d share my home remedy on this thread, even if it wasn’t exactly on point. Thanks for your great comment. Perhaps try, or talk to a doctor about trying, some extra potassium in your diet. I wonder if potassium supplementation beginning 30 years ago might have diminished the severity of your current AFib.
I get it through a tiny spoon (1/8-1/4 gram every few days or once per week) of potassium bicarbonate, which also acts as an antacid after meals. I have also tried potassium citrate. Dietarily, men should be getting 3-4 g per day, which is probably more than most receive.

I work as a medical technologist and have published peer-reviewed research on potassium sensing in the renal system.

I cured my fibrillation by supplementing potassium. I work a physically demanding job and am an amateur athlete. For years my heart had been missing beats and beating erratically, especially at night or after drinking coffee. It was really scary. The effects of potassium are amazing, immediately lowering blood pressure and curing my fluttering heart 100%. I’m surprised more people don’t know about this. I think it would cure a lot of athlete’s heart problems. They are probably depleted of potassium from sweating, etc. Blood tests don’t really give a good indication of cellular potassium, which is ~25x higher than extracellular potassium and can vary more dramatically. And most people don’t get enough potassium anyway, and they are scared to supplement because potassium is in lethal injections. But taking 1/8 gram of potassium bicarbonate 1-2x per week (or less often after the initial 1-2 month phase) has been one of the best things I’ve done for my health. Another great one was supplementing chelated magnesium, because Mg oxide in most multivitamins is not very bioavailable.
