Ask HN: Why is looking native important?
I see that some don't like cross-platform UI toolkits because they fail to make the app look native to their respective platforms. Why don't we just create a UI theme specific to the business. Therefore you keep the same consistency between platforms without having to worry about looking native?Nobody complains when the UI of a mobile game doesn't look native.

Ask HN: Are app catalog apps allowed on the Google Play Store?
I have an idea of making an app which is a catalog of android apps that you can get by sideloading. This means that this app catalog only links to where the app is downloadable. (e.g A link to the developer's website)This app would only be a store front with reviews screenshots and ratings. Is this in violation of the Google Play policies? Would this be great for people wanting to make android...
Ask HN: Hollow app store for sideloaded apps on Android allowed on GPlay?
By hollow app store I mean an app that catalogs apps that can be sideloaded. It only provides the link to the app and does not host the apps themselves. It also has reviews, ratings and screenshots.Does this still violate Google Play's policy if this hollow app store is available to download on the Google Play store?
