I used to manage an enterprise fleet of mobile devices.
This AppCloud crap has also been pushed to devices in the Europe Open Market.
I also know that this shouldn't have been installed on enterprise devices (either Android Enterprise managed by MDM or E-FOTA managed - don't remember exactly). We had an akward conversation with some Samsung representatives..

"Bricolo" is kind of a slang term for "Bricolage" which can be translated to DIY / Tinkering.

In this specific context, I believe parent is hinting (in a negative way) about the internal culture of OVH that could be interpreted as not up to professional standards ?

As a "corporate" sysadmin using Powershell everyday, I was always surprised that PS is not so used in the malware industry.
By the way, I find that this article[0] linked in the original post is much more interesting if you want to know more about how brazilian malwares work (BHO injection, 2FA bypass, etc.)

I don't know how they decommission a zSystem.
But from what the mainframe guys at work told me, hardware between 2 z boxes are pretty much the same and it's kind of licensed by load usage or components usage.
So if you want to downgrade or upgrade memory/CPUs/etc. (to a certain degree), it's just a matter of having an IBM tech to enter the right license in the console.

Some banks would have liked to migrate a long time ago but some ATMs vendors are not very cooperative : their XFS [1] interfaces were not compatible with new versions of Windows .... That's the problem when you are stuck with a locked down plateform.
