"Every Hatamoto install gets its own private admin address."

This might be more inconvenient than a feature, since if I deploy websites for customers I'd have to write down what's the equivalent of wp-admin for each website.

Re:CleanFrame: A quieter home screen for Samsung The Frame on Thursday October 22, 2026 @04:07AM (#50192568)
It's nothing permanent, just a different launcher. You can test it and remove it if you don't like it.

Same thing but for AndroidTV: https://github.com/mdrzn/cleanframe-tv

Re:Tiny Little Office on Thursday October 15, 2026 @03:03AM (#50100250)
same, i've been using it extensively and it's very convenient having the ability to let Codex/ClaudeCode generate a whole deck, and then do the last edits myself in the browser.
Re:Device detection and occupancy monitoring for Airbnb hosts on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @11:12AM (#49993961)
"Crowd Detect uses passive signals from nearby iOS devices to estimate occupancy."

Thank god Android doesn't fuck my privacy like that.

Re:Show HN: Loss. a tiny satire about AI progress on Wednesday September 16, 2026 @05:03AM (#49723814)
Spent wayyyy too much on this, but I reached AGI! Very fun
"Error establishing a database connection" funny.
Re:Why 'sleepmaxxing' could be making your sleep worse on Tuesday September 08, 2026 @03:02AM (#49606555)
"Download the apk from my website. Android will warn you because it did not come from the Play Store - that is normal for a direct download."

mmmh not the best presentation.

Established alternatives:

- Google AI Edge Gallery

- MLC Chat

- PocketPal AI

"No unlock, no app, no laptop. The agent is not somewhere I connect to. It is in my pocket, and it comes with me."

AI-slop blogspam.

Re:Early 2000s were peak of humanity on Monday August 31, 2026 @08:54AM (#49509146)
I can't stand.

When people type like this.

New line after every dot.

Even when not necessary.

Ultra short sentences.

I guess it's "cool"?

Re:Twitter Is Back at Twitter.now on Thursday August 27, 2026 @03:15AM (#49461044)
A BYOK browser extension could work, but it would run in realtime when needed. To build the HN website concept that process the firehose it'd require a lot API credits.
Re:Google Workspace thinks my domain is an email provider on Monday August 24, 2026 @04:09AM (#49416612)
"I was curious what would happen if I disabled this function, so I did, and I was happy to find out that once disabled, I was able to continue the sign-up process for my domain successfully. That means that this was only a frontend validation, not a server-side one."

This is so stupid.

Re:Does AI stop children from learning? on Wednesday August 19, 2026 @10:05AM (#49361802)
Use AI for homework, you will get it done faster and get a higher grade, and then get crushed on the exam.
Re:Win-V combo from Windows on Ubuntu on Wednesday August 19, 2026 @08:40AM (#49360782)
CopyClick, which shows the full history in the status bar.

Main difference is that Win+V on windows also shows images/screenshots that you copied, while CopyClick only shows text.

Re:Worms: The Future of Yesterday's Worms Today on Wednesday August 12, 2026 @08:11AM (#49271166)
Worms 2 and then Worms World Party were BANGERS. I've given both hundreds of hours if not more. Still love 'em.
Re:From 13.5M installs to 499 active devices on Monday August 10, 2026 @09:36AM (#49243484)
"Same developer, same store, twelve years apart."

"Local brand, rebadged hardware, ethernet port on the back, internet features in the menu"

"Keeping the download tiny was a decision, not a side effect."

God I hate the AI slop that I can instantly call out. If you MUST have your blog written by AI, please please please please implement a skill or something that does a second pass using this https://tropes.fyi/tropes-md so at least we remove all the USUAL tells. I cannot stand to read articles like this any longer.

If they haven't fixed it in 6 months, I'd say it's fair game to scrape as much as you can.
