Keynote for the static ones, After Effects for the gifs
I got the same impression, especially the "Powered by WordPress.com VIP" at the bottom

By looking at the headers you now have a great way of writing some analytics tools to see how much your website is shared on Facebook...
Re:How To Package Your Python Code on Sunday November 18, 2012 @05:23PM (#4801911)
ive been writing python for ages but never found a simple introduction to how to package modules - always thought it was voodoo, so thanks a lot! so simple...
yeah no problem - shoot me an email if you want. we took a lot of feedback on board from that HN post and really changed the layout since the initial launch. Most of our traffic comes from blogs and StumbleUpon! We are also now on the first page of Google for some relevant search terms
Launched http://www.TrickedOutTimeline.com on HN in february (see http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3522255) and have made ~$2500 on around $100 costs from advertising and hosting on google app engine. Nothing huge, but good for a weekends work with a friend!
Looking forward to it! Not sure for your subject, as I am computer vision guy. In fact, I work on large scale image recognition and there is something about this which I love...there's a lot of potential for image analysis here.
really cool tech here! have you guys published any papers on this?
Re:Show HN: Find days out near you in the UK on Thursday May 03, 2012 @07:22AM (#3923246)
just a design point - i find the black on dark green background quite uncomfortably hard to read on my screen!
Re:Show HN: JavaScript Instagram-like Filters on Sunday February 05, 2012 @02:26PM (#3554913)
this is very good! is it possible to save the filtered images locally?

Re:Show HN: My weekend project, TrickedOutTimeline on Saturday January 28, 2012 @12:26PM (#3522596)

Re:Show HN: My weekend project, TrickedOutTimeline on Saturday January 28, 2012 @12:17PM (#3522561)
thanks for your thoughts - will definitely implement some changes. doing the "like to download" as an experiment, may well take it off
Re:Show HN: My weekend project, TrickedOutTimeline on Saturday January 28, 2012 @11:57AM (#3522516)

Re:Show HN: My weekend project, TrickedOutTimeline on Saturday January 28, 2012 @11:11AM (#3522378)

Re:Show HN: My weekend project, TrickedOutTimeline on Saturday January 28, 2012 @11:08AM (#3522371)

Re:Show HN: My weekend project, TrickedOutTimeline on Saturday January 28, 2012 @10:45AM (#3522316)

Re:Show HN: My weekend project, TrickedOutTimeline on Saturday January 28, 2012 @10:37AM (#3522288)

Re:A better search for visually similar images on Wednesday December 07, 2011 @04:30AM (#3323128)
Very nice paper. I am actually working on a project in a similar space using very similar techniques, though emphasis is on speed of matching and retrieval as well as matching the objects in the image rather than the image as a whole. Little early demo here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3YldXhG3Qc&feature=chann...

Anyway, great work! The paper was a good read.

I'm on the same page as you. I agree in general with his points but point 4 is off the mark, as you can't predict someone else's cash flow needs. If they are on a salary then you better pay them on time!
Re:The Young and the Lazy on Monday November 21, 2011 @04:19PM (#3262855)
The author is a very outspoken guy, perhaps just for the sake of it. He's the founder of Vice magazine and is known for his unpolitical correctness.

I still think he has a good point (speaking as a Generation Why youth)

Rejected here as well with http://www.publsh.me At least I don't have to by a ticket to the US now hah. Have gained around a 1000 members though since applying so can't really get too hung up.
