Show HN: I made CSV files double-click to open in Google Sheets instead of Excel

https://csvtosheets.com

I built my first macOS app to automatically open csv, xls files in Google Sheets.I work as marketing, revops person and often have to combine data from different platforms for reporting purposes.Google made the import flow super broken with too many clicks in between. So I built a simple solution that saves me some time.Sharing it here, you can test it out for free. No subscription bullshit,...

Convert Chrome Extension to Safari Extension in 15 Minutes

It took us 15 minutes to convert our existing Chrome extension into Safari Web Extension.Would be less, if we’d choose the Firefox one, as Mozilla doesn’t allow you to use the legacy Web API. But who knew?!It takes more time to write the App Store listing than turn your existing plugin into brand new Safari Extension.Psst… don’t forget to update your Bundle ID everywhere, it costed us a...

Thank you a lot! :)
Oh, thanks! Will edit this ASAP!
Well done!
We have 35 pro users right now. But yes, it’s been a tough journey to get them subscribe and most of them have either lifetime access or discounted price.

Still learning here, what price would you suggest?

Nice! Love the idea :)
Each digest is also available in shareable web format. Here is an example: https://my.mailist.app/share/JHqkkGfFxc

I am working on a personal archive of these for a quick access.

Show HN: I built a tool to send you daily digest of your saved bookmarks

Bookmarks which you wanted to read, but simply forgot...It happened to me all the time. I bookmarked the articles to read later and simply forgot about them. Forever.I built Mailist to help with that. Already 2350 users enjoy their "weekly digests" composed from their bookmarks. It makes me super happy! So now, https://mailist.app Pro account allows you to send an email newsletter every day,...

Show HN: Weekly email from your saved bookmarks

Hey, I've just added Pro Plan to my baby side project.https://mailist.app/ generates a weekly email that takes random unread articles from your list and reminds you to get to them. Once you do, you cross off the link from your list. How do you add links to Mailist? It's super simple: - With Chrome/Firefox browser extension - via Import feature (from browser bookmarks folder, Pocket) - Using...

Re:Ask HN: How do you manage your bookmarks? on Tuesday January 21, 2020 @10:18AM (#22107641)
Im using Mailist App to collect bookmarks which are then composed in a weekly, personal newsletter. That makes me actually read then and not only store and forget :)

Show HN: Weekly Newsletter of Your Bookmarks

There are a lot of bookmarking tools from the native browser bookmarker to standalone ones like Pocket and Evernote. But Mailist adds a clever --and really important--piece that's missing in all the other ones: a follow-up mechanism that closes the loop. In this case, it generates a weekly email that takes random unread articles from your list and reminds you to get to them. Once you do, you...

Check Mailist app :)
Exactly!
Looks really similar to https://mailist.app Were you inspired by that?
Thats interesting idea. We will definitely think that through
We are collecting only the email address and anonymously analyze links to implement auto categorizing really soon and help us create a base for personalized ads. We need to include the point you pasted in our Policy since we are using for example Google Analytics - which is a third party tool- which basically collects and process user information.

We built this tool because we needed it and decided to share it with others.

Oh, and you can remove your account and links anytime.

Not making any money yet, but the maintenence costs are low enough we can live with it. We are planning paid features which will be live soon. Also, we are planning to introduce some kind of personalized ads so it can help us with the revenue.

The app is built in Rails :)

Hey, thanks a lot for the feedback. Will definietely work on readability and fix the bug with the banner.
Hey, thanks! You can easily import bookmarks from Chrome using Import feature. You can access it from your account settings.
