I wonder how many systems have a good web browser embedded. Last time it was tried on a tesla, it could barely render a maplibre map.

The Web is a universal platform very capable in 2026.

This tax is not well thought but we need to tax those companies that evade taxes. Let's be creative and strong.

Did the website crash ? Goes directly to an about:blank. Maybe the author wanted to protect the website from a hug of death.

Re:We're releasing the weights of Mistral Large 4 on Friday October 30, 2026 @04:35AM (#50301216)
It's in the list for the /code tab.
Thanks ! Yes, the French system is strange, it's a mess. Regionalised.
Yes it's almost constantly under heavy load from illegal LLM indexers.

You can see regional coach networks by clicking "car", it means coach bus in French.

Well he'd be proud to see the extend of the fixed routes network in France today : https://cartes.app/?style=transports#6.32/47.811/2.097

Each blue polygon is a network. Zoom to see the lines.

Of course we should do way better, and unify all that with a single ticket and single website for route planning.

Related, though less artistic. See this French LIDAR data visualisation of buildings : https://batiment3d.ign.fr, and this other visualisation that shows France in 3D, measurable (measure heights, distances) : https://julesrumeau.github.io/Scopus
So... models built by humans prefer to belong too ?
That's why Mistral is even more important than just being the only competitive european LLM builder : it's on the French grid.
Re:Mistral Large 4 on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @04:43PM (#50187359)
Because people acclaim European competition on the LLM scene, I guess. We don't have much to show.
Re:Mistral Large 4 on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @04:41PM (#50187331)
It's well known that every Mistral employee is a fonctionnaire. No.

What's more impressive is the datacenter used for training. It shows you can get "sub-SOTA" for one tenth of the resources of SOTA.
I have never understood why people using MicroG can use apps like SNCF-Connect, while I cannot.

SNCF-connect is the largest online marchant in France. Since june, I cannot click the "pay" button anymore. It coincides with the new feature of Pay with Google.

So : is it because MicroG allows calls to Google services on e/OS devices, while my LineageOS refuses ? Or because MicroG implemented a try catch around this call, without any call to Google's servers ?

Re:Timestral: Mistral release time-series foundation models on Monday October 19, 2026 @01:15PM (#50155072)
Maybe their Mistral 4 usage spiked with the news.
Re:Timestral: Mistral release time-series foundation models on Monday October 19, 2026 @12:35PM (#50154495)
The GLM offering in the last months was blazingly fast for me.
Re:Timestral: Mistral release time-series foundation models on Monday October 19, 2026 @12:04PM (#50154069)
Location based maybe ? I'm in France.

Just tested Mistral 4 too in Vibe and it's slow. It works well, but is way too slow. Switched back to Mistral's GLM5.3, which is awesome.

Edit : working with GLM5.3 now, it's also slow. Maybe Mistral's under heavy load.

Re:Tesla Roadster on Friday October 16, 2026 @03:59PM (#50123755)
Meanwhile, Renault makes small and useful cars being sold more in France, for a fraction of Tesla's valuation.
Re:Thank You, Deno on Friday October 16, 2026 @06:07AM (#50116476)
I do hope there will be forks. Some are mentioned in the comments.

Bun and Deno are now big-tech dependent. For the better, and the worse.

Re:OpenCode 2.0 on Thursday October 15, 2026 @10:39AM (#50104350)
The main animation is hungry.
Re:Tiny Little Office on Thursday October 15, 2026 @06:58AM (#50101934)
It also means you shouldn't bet on the tool to still be available next month.
Re:OpenCode 2.0 on Thursday October 15, 2026 @03:28AM (#50100444)
All the power of LLMs in the hands but a page impossible to read on my phone...
Re:Yandex bot traffic down 99% after data center attack on Monday October 12, 2026 @01:47AM (#50051830)
Same in Germany : AFD's activity went abruptly down apparently.
Re:Mistral Large 4: "Le Chonk" on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @11:21AM (#49979871)
Was wondering what Le Chonk meant (not French).
Re:Web Search API on Monday October 05, 2026 @12:50PM (#49967301)
Same as https://staan.ai, the European index.
Re:DeepSeek Harness Desktop for macOS and Windows on Friday October 02, 2026 @04:54AM (#49931325)
Mistral Vibe lets you use GLM-5.3 by default now. So it's a very capable model, for a cheap monthly fee. The Web version is excellent : tried yesterday on a simple search, results were way more informative than ChatGPT.

But yes, it's sad that they don't release models anymore.

Thanks for the definition !
